The Claire McDowell School trains pupils in both traditional and modern Irish Dancing and is affiliated to the Festival Dance Teachers Association (FDTA) of Northern Ireland.

The aim of the school is to produce dancers who will enjoy dancing and perform to their full potential. Over the years pupils have won many local and national festivals. The school also takes part in community events, concerts and private functions.

Pupils are taught a mixure of solo, set and team dances in traditional dance pumps or treble (heavy) shoes. Dedication, respect and friendship are key ingredients of our successful school.

Weekly lessons for girls and boys aged three upwards and for teenagers or adults from beginner to championship level, are available.

Please see the classes page for  further details.
